Color My Heart color dare #1

Hello there and welcome to the very first edition of the Color my Heart color dare, where we will play color with Close to My Heart! This weeks colors are:

Amethyst
Petal
Smokey Plum

I chose a monochromatic color scheme for this week. Each week we will do something different.

Lesson: Monochromatic means a group of 2-4 different shades of the same color. Amethyst is a little bluer than Petal and Smokey Plum, but I've found it works well if you add just a little for lightness. Sonoma is a great paper pack to use for this color scheme. You may use any neutral from our color pallette. I used Cocoa and Colonial White. I'm anxious to see how the other neutrals might look with these colors.

I used the pattern from Wishes called Matchbook. I would like to challenge you that if you are making a card, and you don't have a sketch you want to use already, pick a pattern from Wishes or Originals. Bonus points if you do!

So, go ahead and create your project. It can be a card, a scrapbook layout, an altered item; basically anything that has paper in it! You have to use some CTMH products, but if you use 100%CTMH, you get bonus points! Take a picture of your project and post it to your blog or online gallery. (Use the code CMH1 if you upload to an online gallery.) Put a link to your post at the bottom of this blog post, and put our link in your post as well. You have until Thursday at 8PM to play. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

Next week, my good friend and favorite customer, Ruth will be joining us as our first design team member! Let me know in a comment if you have any questions or suggestions for this challenge. I'm a first timer, so there might be something I missed.

Love,
Sarah
