Color Dare #200--Ruby, Sapphire and Colonial White and a Prize Alert!

We are celebrating this week! We have reached the 200th Color Dare challenge. That's 4 years of providing a creative challenge featuring Close to My Heart colors.  We've seen many wonderful colors come and go and have had lots of fun (and creative challenges) with all of them.

I can recall how it started several years ago when blog originator Sarah Stone asked on a Close to My Heart Bulletin Board if anyone would be interested in participating in a Close to My Heart colors challenge back in 2012. Many of us responded yes and she started the Color My Heart Color Dare blog to challenge us to use the wonderful CTMH colors.  The first edition of the Color My Heart Color Dare blog was on May 25, 2012. At the end of 2012 Sarah had a Design Team call and invited 7 of us to join the first ever Color My Heart Color Dare Design Team which began in January 2013.  (Sarah Stone, Lela Norris and Marie Flayer are still with the Color Dare DT.)  Thank you Sarah for your vision and hard work in getting this Color Dare challenge blog going for so many of us to enjoy!  Thank you also to the many wonderful DT members, Guest Designers and participants for all the hard work and inspiration they have provided.

Since this is such a special Color Dare we are going to invite the Diamond Award Winner for challenge #200 to select colors for a future Color Dare challenge. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

This blog title says "Prize Alert!" so it's time to explain that.

There are so many terrific Close to My Heart paper products available the Design Team has decided to gift one (or maybe more) lucky winner(s) a choice of one CTMH  paper packet from the current Annual Inspirations catalog, upcoming Annual Inspirations catalog or upcoming Holiday Expressions catalog.  In order to be eligible for a random draw you must leave a comment on EACH of our Design Team members blog posts for Color Dare #200.   There will be one prize awarded for each 10 people who comment on all DT entries so if there are 20 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 2 prizes awarded and if there are 30 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 3 prizes awarded.  You will need to click on each DT member's name to get to her blog to leave a comment.  Although it is not required to win a prize this week we would love to see what you can create with our challenge colors.

We have another fabulous announcement!  We are welcoming Tracey Pierce, AKA "Papercrafting Princess" to our Design Team.  You can read more about her by clicking on the Design Team link at the top of the page.  Welcome, Tracey!

Now on to this week's Color Dare challenge!  Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge where we invite you to use the specified Close to My Heart colors to create something that you like.  (Of course if you don't have these CTMH colors yet you may substitute similar colors so you can still join in on the fun!)  This week we are challenging you to use all and only these colors:  Ruby, Sapphire and Colonial White.

Here is some inspiration from our awesome Design Team.  If you have a chance please stop by our blogs to see how we made these projects and leave a comment. (If you want to be eligible to win a new pack of Close to My Heart paper you need to leave a comment on ALL of these DT entries.)

Now it's your turn. Take some time this week to create a project using these colors. If you don't have the exact colors, just use the closest ones you have. Next, take a picture of it and upload it to your blog. Make sure you include our link and challenge picture in your post. Then link your post to our site, using the link to your post, not your blog. See our sidebar for complete rules. Most importantly, have fun!  We look forward to visiting your blogs and commenting.

Don’t have a blog?  You can still enter by posting your photo to our Facebook page here.  Next you would copy the URL and then copy that into the Linky tool below.  You could also post your photo in one of your Pinterest boards and then copy and paste the URL into the Linky tool. If you do post from Facebook or Pinterest please tell how you made your card in the comments section.
